about us

Welcome to the accounting firm that brings relaxation to the fore and puts you at ease around your business numbers

At Your Accounting Sanctuary, we believe using a straightforward and simplistic approach to the numbers means clients can make decisions easily, so they can focus on business growth and continuity.

Our aim is to support and empower you with the facts to get out there and do what you do best – grow your business.

Come for a chat and leave your numbers to us

We love talking with our clients and make sure there’s lots of time for it. Talking is essential if we’re to help you grow your business in the way you want. It’s the best way to understand where you’ve come from, where you’re heading and what your current preoccupations are. It also helps us structure things so your business and personal goals are aligned.

We’re here to offer practical advice on issues big and small for your business, personal and family trust needs. It could be taking the pressure of general accounting and taxation off your hands or simplifying your day-to-day procedures and advising on which Cloud accounting platform is best for you. We can also identify ways to improve cash flow and help ensure your finances are structured to support sudden growth or protect your business and personal assets.

What are your business numbers telling you?

We go beyond ‘doing your numbers’ to reveal, in plain English, what they mean for your business.

From general accounting and tax through to business advice based on the facts revealed by your numbers, there’s no need to go it alone. We’re here to take the weight off your shoulders by doing the work and running a fresh set of expert eyes over your business.

We charge by the activity not the hour

There’s no need to watch the clock with Your Accounting Sanctuary. For most services, we’re not focused on hourly rates but on doing the job correctly.

the team

When I’m not trying to become the “calculator superhero” I can often be found planning my next trip around the world. There are so many places to see and I’m gradually working my way down the list. It is when travelling that I’m at ease and, with the tiny bit of creativity that I own, I spend a bit of time with my camera in hand. I love capturing the moment that no-one else sees, but one which you would like to remember forever.

I’m the founder and managing director of YAS and have almost 20 years of accounting and tax experience under my belt. I’m an FCA (from the UK), a registered tax agent and I love being able to talk clients through their business and tax planning. My aim is to come up with some ‘out-of-the-box’ ideas so that you can reach your goals in the most tax-efficient and asset protective ways.

First and foremost, I love helping our clients solve their accounting and business challenges.

I initially qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia, and then travelled to London where I worked and studied with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Over the past 20 years, my diverse background working across most disciplines within the accounting industry has provided me with a holistic understanding of our client’s ongoing business and financial dilemmas.

Outside of work, I absolutely love the outdoors and I am fortunate to have travelled extensively across the world. I also thoroughly enjoy the challenging hiking trails in The Lake District in England and the Grand Canyon to reach the top for the amazing views!

I love accounting obviously 🙂 but I love cooking, too. I am pushing myself to a new level and trying out my favourite Korean spicy dishes. I work full time and juggle it with three beautiful children, and to relax in between, I quickly do a Yoga Child Pose and rest my forehead on my four-year old boy’s tummy…. much softer than the yoga mat!

As you tread the success path for your business and master your craft, I’m going to look after your most “boring” affairs, I love it! I’ve been doing it for more than five years now as a registered tax agent and a member of CPA Australia. Before joining public practice, I was doing commercial and management accounting and financial audit for more than a decade.
